What is the Green footprint Convoy and Recyclers Rolling Rolodex ?

Our objective is to promote, what many experienced people in the Industry consider, the yet unrealized & massive Positive Environmental Impact that Professional Auto Recyclers can have on our Planet, provided that Professional Auto Recyclers are presented with a Level Playing Field.

The RV itself will carry advertising for Recyclers and Industry Suppliers in the form of “A Rolling Rolodex" at rates as low as 20 pence per day (33 US Cents)

As with all Green footprint Projects there are conditions & Auto Recyclers who wish to be involved must Members of an Auto Recyclers Association.

The left side of the RV, much of the Inside, the 30 foot wide Trade Stand & the on board Computer Display Systems will be used to graphically illustrate how "The Professional Auto Recycling Industry operates from start to finish".

This will be achieved by using a collage of vinyl pictures of Auto Recycling Facilities, Equipment, Tools, and Products etc in the real environment.

This collage provides Suppliers to the Industry a unique opportunity to promote their companies at every trade show, exhibition & meeting for the next three years.

Our support vehicles will also carry company brochures etc for participating suppliers for distribution to potential buyers at no extra cost.

Reasonably charged? This unique opportunity costs only $749 US or £499 GBP per 6 square inches for 3 years with Macs Suppliers entitled to a further 33% off.

We will attempt during the trip to be at every Auto Recycling, Motor Industry, Environmental Show or event to which we are invited.

When a Political Door of Opportunity Opens, which undoubtedly will, we will pass the information and baton onto the Industries Association Representatives.

Considering that all Convoy participants get Listings on up to 3 Directories, a full company Details Web Site, entry into the draw to own a share of the Convoy at the end of its trip getting on board should, we consider, be an easy decision for most Companies in the industry to make

IT Show May 2008 at Manheim Drive, Stockbridge / Atlanta Georgia

This was Green Footprints First showing of its concepts for the future.

The bringing together of under the Green footprint Banner of the tried and tested World Parts Databases, The Marketing and Communications Systems Marketing and the years of experience in the Auto Recycling Industry of Find-A-Part and it's members collectively resulted in a fairly low key approach at this event.

Getting a reaction, feedback and ideas from Suppliers and Recyclers on the Green Footprint and Convoy concepts was the main reason for attending plus a few beers!.

FADRA Show - July 2008 - Radison Resort at the Port, Cape Canaveral, Florida

July 2008 - First shown at the FADRA Show Florida the RV, purchased some 10 miles from the Hotel and shown in the photos above, did not look very impressive.

The concept of the RV and convoy being on the road & at trade shows etc all over the USA for over 1000 days however caught the imagination of many Recyclers and Suppliers in attendance.

The pictures below show the RV in its original condition with artwork mock ups following it's return to Coastal RV for cleaning, storage until the ARA Convention.

ARA October 2008 - Hyatt Regency / Midway Motors Kansas City, Missouri

Driven from Cocoa Beach Florida to Kansas City Missouri for the ARA Trade Show and Convention the RV, although unfinished created interest from people who saw it on the road. This interest was monitored by the hits on the web site address (1966 in Total) which was advertised exclusively on the rear of the RV. Considering that a major part of the driving was carried out at night a very good indication of the fact that the message got across.

To big for the actual show hall the RV was set up at the very impressive Midway Auto Parts Kansas City Branch in readiness for the Heavy Equipment Displays and Barbecue on the Friday Evening.

Hampered by the late arrival of our Trade Stand for the Hyatt Hall (It arrived at midday on the Barbecue Evening) we resigned ourselves to about 2 hours of exposure time for the whole show.

With typical American Hospitallity our hosts ordered "British Weather" and our arrival saw "1 Months Rainfall in 1 Day", so getting everything finalised was very difficult.

Midways owners and staff however were more than helpfull and the days prior to the Friday Evening Barbeque saw the Green Footprint Convoy grow with the addition of more Salvage Vehicles and Quality Recycled Parts provided from Midways massive inventory.
