Promoting the Professional Aspects of the Industry is becoming more important as Environmental Awareness increases, and the effects of ELV Legislation started in Europe spread further across the Globe. Associations do an invaluable job of representing their membership at local and National level. The perception however of the Industry is still however in to many cases tainted by old images. Trade shows and Industry events also play an invaluable part in raising awaness of the industry. It is however a fact of life that Governments and legislators constantly change due to elections so any cohesive understanding of the Professional Recycling Industry becomes lost.
The Green Footprint Convoy is some may say a radical approach, it is however a serious commitment by Industry people to raise awareness of our Industry as having been and still being Leaders in Recycling. The objective is to promote in a high profile manner, what many experienced people in the Industry consider, the yet unrealized & massive Positive Environmental Impact that Professional Auto Recyclers can have on our Planet, provided that Professional Auto Recyclers are presented with a Level Playing Field. The RV itself will carry advertising for Recyclers and Industry Suppliers in the form of “A Rolling Rolodex" at rates as low as 20 pence per day (33 US Cents). The conditions are that Auto Recyclers who wish to be involved must Members of an Auto Recyclers Association. The left side of the RV, much of the Inside, the 30 foot wide Trade Stand & the on board Computer Display Systems will be used to graphically illustrate how "The Professional Auto Recycling Industry operates from start to finish". We will attempt during the three years to be at every Auto Recycling, Motor Industry, Environmental Show or event to which we are invited and when a Political Door of Opportunity Opens, which undoubtedly will, we will pass the information and baton onto the Industries Association Representatives.
