The objective of all projects is to bring together people with the exisiting infrastucture to progress "Green Footprint Recycling Projects".
The facts are that there are millions of people world wide who are already involved in Environmental Reasurch and evaluating ways to better the Global Environment. At the core of "The Green Footprint Projects" concept is a desire to ensure that this valuable resouce of people know about what each other are doing and to help them work in harmony.

  • Every person that sees the RV during its Criss Cross US trip who is influenced to purchase Recycled Auto Parts instead of New Parts will help reduce the CO2 released into our environment.
  • Every part that is sold by Professional Auto Recyclers has a CO2 saving so the RV will have a Computerised CO2 Savings Ticker which will offset many of the CO2 emissions from the Dually.
  • By actual Building and maintaining the Truck with Recycled Parts it will save at an estimated 21 Tonnes of CO2 Emissions required to build a New Vehicle and New OEM Parts.
  • Photos of the Parts and build at various stages including MPG Improvement add ons will provide a documented history of our developments which will be featured on a special page on the site.
  • The outside of the RV features vinyl adverts (The Recyclers Rolodex) for all participating recyclers in state order, Collages of Modern Recyclers Equipment and sponsors advertising.
  • The RV will carry Recycling Industry flyers for distribution to Recyclers Association Members.
  • The flexibility of the RV and Dually Vehicles will enable it to feature at numerous events to promote all Green Footprint Projects
100 MPG - To incorporate all available systems into our Dual Wheel Diesel Truck to achive a 100 mpg fuel consumtion figure.
At the end of each year we will run our truck on one Gallon of Fuel under test conditions to show our achived MPG target.

    Building from the start and the "finish".

    When I was in the Auto Recycling Business, until some twenty odd years ago, we seemed able to sit back and just watch the money roll in.

    On leaving the Industry I brought a Farm in Norfolk, set to extending it to eight bedrooms with reclaimed and natural materials, got into organic farming in a small way and converted barns into workshops where I could spend time on various projects like my old tractors, 1933 Austin Seven Opel Rebuild and alternative energy supplies.

    All through my youth and especially during my further education years I had a fascination with alternative energy supplies and reuse of things especially mechanical.

    Like many millions of people around the world I have never purchased a new Car and had on many occasions used Find A Part for quite a lot of items.

    I kept in contact and visited my friends in the industry and observed the tons of concrete poured, new buildings and equipment put in at sites in response to the European End of Life Directive but all of them had the same gripe about not being able to compete with companies who had spent nothing on any infrastructure upgrading.

    During one of these visits I ran into Terry Gray who was upgrading my friends Find A Part software and was surprised when my "Always Busy" friend asked him to stay & join us for a meal but during the day and evening it became clear why my friend enjoyed his company & observations on the industry.
    Terry eventually visited my farm to see my vintage motorbikes and I realised that the he not only eats and breaths "Auto Recycling" often to his own personal detriment but is a fountain of "Green Footprint ideas" and concepts.

    I agree with many of his industry friends, including Americans that because he seem to have a vision of how things will pan out not everyone in the industry can follow his logic.
    What I do know is that many people in the Recycling Industry Worldwide including my old friends admit, often grudgingly, that for the last 30 years most of his predictions have been fairly spot on.

    Over the last 10 years or so I have observed first hand his frustration, especially when returning from his trips to the USA and I became involved with Green Footprint Network and Convoy project as having seen many of my old friends in the Industry negatively effected by many of the systems European Legislators had put in place and was aware that US Legislators were starting to Import what they believed were good ideas that had worked in Europe but had in actuality been of no benefit to Auto Recycling.

    To say my first visit to the USA was an eye opener would be an understatement and many of the people I met seemed to be unaware of the similarities of past events in Europe and ter countries with those developing in the US. What I realised however was that there was a distinct lack of information flowing to the US from European Associations, maybe because they are busy fighting for their own survival, that creates this big chink in the US Industries Armoury of Industry knowledge.

    Many of my observations regarding my second visit to the US in September 2008 and 2009 will be penned in the future but I have to say that Terry was right when he said that there are "Professional Auto Recyclers" who have vision and desire and I can now count these as personal friends who I also admire.

    "Big money wins - The Earth Looses" ?
    Our initial 2007 and 2008 plans to build a "Greener GM Silverado Dually" to tow the RV were based on the integration of the British Trident Iceni Technology which had resulted in the production of a 2 Seater Sports Vehicle capable of 200mph plus on bio diesel that had in tests shown a capability of nearly 70 mpg at a constant 70mph.     Considering that the original concept of touring the USA and Canada was to bring attention to cost and CO2 Saving Environmental aspects of "The Industry" and the parts we sell we had to return to our original pre 2008 concept of building the towing vehicle itself from recycled parts and integrating seemingly "buried or lost technologies".
    Considering Terry and I had ventured personal monies to keep the Iceni project alive, seeing the rights to the vehicle being sold for millions to "The USA" and then not hearing anything was a double blow especially when we considered the Environmentally Beneficial Losses.
    The why ?
    There is no logical explanation as to why Millions of Dollars of American Taxpayers Money should have been used to obtain the rights to use technology which had a proven record of the capabillity of being able to double, triple or even quadruple the MPG of a current GM Production Vehicle (Silverado / Duramax Engined Truck) and for nothing to have happend.

    Why should your Environmentally minded group, organisation or supplier to the Auto Recycling Industry have a Special form?
     
    The facts are that Recycling Auto Parts is in most cases a manual job and most basic testing can be carried out using the power of the vehicle itself.
    It is also a fact that there are no CO2 emmision requirements to manufacture or make the recycled part unlike those required in the manuafacture of a Manufacturers OEM Replacement part.
    It is also a fact the in many cases parts are removed from late date vehicles which have done a fairly low mileage.
    It is also a fact that many Recycled Parts come from vehicles that either not reached the original manufacturers mileage or age period under which the vehicle and its parts are still under waranty.
    It is also a fact that the majority of Recycled Engines that are sold are replacing worn out or high mileage engines so are more efficient and by default reduced the vehicles carbon footprint.
    It is also a fact that by default Recycled Auto Parts are more cost effective than New OEM Parts and by default reduce the overall transportation costs of the country they are sold in.
    It is also a fact that that the three heavisest and most engineerd components in the average passanger vehicle are The Engine, Transmission and Rear Axle if fitted.
    It is also a fact that these three components form the largest percentage of Vehicle Parts requested over the last 30 plus years on the Find-A-Part systems and sales by Auto Recyclers.
    It is also a fact that it follows that the processing and sale of these three components by default saves the most CO2 required by manufacturers to produce new units.
    It is also a fact that between Recycled Parts and New Parts are Re-Manufactured Parts and the main source of Core Parts for Re-Manufacture is the Auto Recycling Industry.
    It is also a fcat that Find A Part only alows bona fide members of Auto Recyclers Associations to receive requests and that all Recyclers Associations have membership standards.
    It is also a fact that the higer the standard of Auto Recycler the Higher their Environmental procedures and Standars are.
     
    The facts are that by having a special form with your own header you will be helping people to save money on Auto Parts, helping the Environment by reducing CO2 emmisions and helping Professional Recyclers to help the Environment more.
     
    I am proud that conservative calculations show my Find A Part systems and our UK Auto Recyclers have in the last 30 plus years stoped about 49,000,000 Tonnes of CO2 from entering the earths atmosphere.
    It is a fact that because the US Recycling Industry is ten times bigger than Britains it is feasable to stop about 50,000,000 Tonnes of CO2 from entering the earths atmosphere in 3 years.
     
    The Charges for Receiving All Requests Generated via The Copyright Find A Part Forms in the USA and for an ad on the RV Recyclers Index are only $465 per year
    In reality as we only allow Members of State / Provincial / ARA members to participate as Parts Suppliers this means the maximum you can pay for the Requests is either $365 US for 2 Years or 50 US Cents per Day and If you are a member of the ARA and a State or Provincial Association the daily figure is 33 US Cents per day.
    Because however the launch of Find-A-Part America Coincides with the "Recyclers Rolling Roladex" Trip start your $465 will cover the trip and receipt of all Find-A-Part Requests for 2 years (1 Association) or untill the trip end on in September 2013 (2 Associations)
    Please remember that the Find-A-Part System has been operational for over 30 Years in The UK and Europe and can state that "We have still got Professional Auto Recyclers with us who joined at the start"
    This is why I as Chairman and Founder have no qualms in saying "If at the end of your 2 or 3 years you want your money back, just ask for it"
